From the very beginning of the Zombie Turkeys publication process, our illustrator, Sean Flanagan, and me, Andy Zach, were eager to create a Zombie Turkeys graphic novel.

How Do You Make A Zombie Turkeys Graphic Novel?

I’m glad you asked! It’s harder than you think.

First, get a great artist. If you’ve seen the Zombie Turkeys book cover

or back cover,

you know Sean Flanagan is great.

Secondly, you need a publisher willing to create your graphic novel for you. In the pre-internet days, this would take years to sell your idea to an established publisher. You’d an agent and luck.

But today, we have electronic publishers like Image Comics, who will publish your novel for a fraction of the cost of a traditional publisher.

Thirdly, you need a market. Do people even want a graphic novel version of Zombie Turkeys? That’s where you come in.
