What struck me first after the book was how vivid the descriptions were. You could see and smell the characters, taste the seed cakes, and feel the cold drizzle. As author describes his characters, their families, and their struggles, you care for each of them.
Quickly, the families are disrupted and scattered by war in what is now England, between the Danes and the Saxons. Hold on tightly, for the war is rough and brutal.
Meanwhile, the Vardoger Boy, Torfinn, goes sailing. He is partially in our world and partially in a magical world. He has an entire set of adventures simultaneously with the war.
You won’t be able to put this down until you have finished.

The book picks up shortly after the last one. Early conversations recap the previous events to bring you up to speed. The story has action, adventure, comedy, and even romance. With something for everyone I recommend giving it a try.
Harmon Cooper continues his delightful cozy fantasy about a man who dies and comes to the underworld. He becomes a brewer and opens a pub in his first book. In the second, he begins farming. With the pub, he gets a magical, protective cat, Patches.
With the farm, he gets a magical protective day, Cornbread. What’s his motivation? Every day, he gets a notice about an invasion coming in 90 days. Then 89. And so on. He (His name is Sylas), figures he needs to get as powerful as possible to face this unknown threat.
His quest leads him to these careers and to powerful people in the Underworld–and hell itself.
“Zombie Turkeys” is a wildly entertaining and unpredictable ride that combines humor, horror, and heart. Sam Melvin, a small-town reporter, and his editor, Lisa Kambacher, find themselves at the forefront of a zombie turkey apocalypse.
Standout Elements:
1. Unique blend of humor and horror. 2. Well-developed, relatable protagonists. 3. Fast-paced, action-packed narrative.
Storyline:
Sam and Lisa navigate a chaotic world overrun by undead, unstoppable turkeys. As they report on the crisis, they face numerous challenges, from bloodthirsty hordes to paranoid militias.
Final Thoughts:
“Zombie Turkeys” is an outrageously entertaining and clever novel that will leave you laughing and on the edge of your seat. With its unique blend of humor and horror, this book is a must-read for fans of the genre.

How about this story?
Here we have the world’s most detailed and best preserved skeleton of a trilobite. They’re very common fossils from 300 million years ago. But usually the soft parts don’t get preserved. This time they did.
I can think of several ideas from this article:
Someone found some trilobites and is breeding them on their private property.
A person got a time machine and went back to this time period and picked up so.
The trilobites developed an advanced civilization and traveled ahead in time to our day.
I already have a zombie turkey apocalypse series. How about a squirrel apocalypse?
This tickles my funny bone: squirrels causing the downfall of civilization. I can think of dozens of scenarios, including leveraging my zombie world that begins below:
