Performed by Michelle Alexander

Some weeks ago I submitted excerpts of my novel Zombie Turkeys to the Novel Writing Festival. They performed the Zombie Turkeys audio excerpt.

I’m pleased by the performance. It’s not perfect, but then neither was my own reading I posted a week ago on You Tube.  Please comment on which reading you like better below! My feeling aren’t easily hurt; I’m criticized all the time by my pet phoenixes about my slowness in feeding them.

The Novel Writing Festival also interviewed me with random acts of questioning. You can read the interview and see and hear the excerpt at their web site.

Going to this new reading, you will hear some new, never before performed excerpts in this particular reading.  If you enjoy audio books, especially humorous ones, such as Zombie Turkeys, you will enjoy the new sections. I look forward to your comments!

As always, if you wish to thank me, go my book page on Amazon, and write a review of Zombie Turkeys. I even appreciate negative reviews! As Don King says, “There’s no such thing as bad publicity.”

Thanksgiving After Action Report

With that thought, I will conclude with an after action report of Thanksgiving! Our family gathered at our ancestral home in Peoria, complete with the five phoenixes, dog, two parakeets, and dozens of fish. (The fish are mostly cichlids.) We avoided the possibility of zombie turkey attacks by not having  turkey. Instead, we had six Cornish game hens. Sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, and homemade pita chips concluded our repast. Well, except desserting with the homemade pumpkin and pecan pies. Somehow I made room for both.

Happily, my phoenixes liked all the food and did not criticize me. Nor did the game hens come back to life like zombie turkeys.

Goodbye for now!

Andy
