Merry Christmas!

It might feel belated, but you’re still well within your rights to use this phrase today — and for the next four days as well!

That’s because Christmas isn’t just one day, but a 12-day liturgical season that begins on December 25th and ends on the eve of January 5th (the “12 Days of Christmas”).

Christmastide is an extended period of celebration that carries rich theological and cultural significance — marking not just the birth of Jesus, but his manifestation to the entire world.

First, a little bit about my crazy book about zombie heroes, with a presidential commission as privateers.

Zombies charge first, ask questions later. Middle-aged, overweight, and undead, Diane Newby leads the paranormal privateers against criminals and corruption. This is the first book I’ve read of Kimberly Rogers and I enjoyed it. It was a classic fantasy romance tale, based off the fairy tale ‘Beauty and the Beast’. But there’s a twist.

The Fae Lord Faustin is slowly turning into a beast, and he has a goblin tinkerer who replaces his non-working parts with mechanical ones. Quite horrible, actually.

This curse is thanks to a hag who cursed him because he didn’t do what she wanted.

Then for the female lead character, Solange Durant, who’s an escapee from the French Revolution (the novel begins in 1796). There, they persecute people with magic. Solange is a changling, half fae, half human.

Desperate for work and pursued by anti-magic mob, Solange finds her way to Lord Faustin’s decrepit estate. That’s when the novel really begins.
